Role: Senior MongoDB Engineer with DevOps Location: Baltimore, MD, On -site (Remote Temporarily) Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD* Local Candidate , Certified , Federal project experience preferred Description of Work: Strong knowledge of Mongo Community Edition on Linux, MongoDB architecture and experience with scriptingautomationChampion the use of tools with PostgreSQL Community Edition. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills, embed with a team, solicit ideas, and feedback, and havegood communication skills and on a day-to-day basis perform the following: Automate and maintain MongoDB databases and infrastructure using Community Edition on Linux. Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to furtherenhance the code quality/process. Provide guidance/support to other junior/mid-level developers. Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidoscompetitively in the marketplace. All other duties as assigned or directed. Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. 5+ years of experience with MongoDB Community Edition on Linux. Excellent communication skills. Excellent communication and written skills. Hands-on experience with Mongo Community edition. Familiar with Mongo internals and how Mongo works outside of a GUI environment. Designing, building, and automating the Infrastructure for MongoDB Community Edition. Experience in using Python, Ansible, or similar methods to automate infrastructure tasks. Experience with Shell Scripting. Knowledge of MongoDB architecture. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies. Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology. Previous work in DevOps Environments. Ansible Automation experience. Git/Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA experience Experience on automating AWS ElastiCache provisioning, administration, and maintenance. Experience working with AWS database services including RDS, EC2, S3 Candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team.
