Location: New York City-based (Hybrid - virtual with in-person opportunities)
Full-Time / Part-Time: Full-Time (40+ hours)
Salary: Commensurate with experience, $55,000 - $70,000

Overview of SuitUp
Founded in 2014, SuitUp is a 501c3 non-profit organization that increases college and career awareness among students from underserved communities. SuitUp organizes virtual and in-person student business competitions for corporate volunteers where employees help students solve a problem for a real company, like creating a new product for Nike or solving a community problem through Snapchat. Since inception, SuitUp has hosted over 600 competitions for companies like Goldman Sachs, NBCUniversal, Snap Inc., Louis Vuitton, and many others, organizing events for over 14,500 volunteers and impacting more than 18,000 students.

The Opportunity
SuitUp is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager based in the greater New York City area whos had success in a sales-related field to bring their talent and skillset to SuitUp and our fee-for-service program revenue model. This role will be tasked with helping the New York regional pod secure corporate partners for 70-125 events in 2024. SuitUp Corporate Partnership Managers are dynamic, driven professionals who excel in revenue generation, relationship building, stewardship, strategy, and implementation. They are go-getters and can inspire both prospective SuitUp clients and current volunteers to expand the SuitUp program.

This role reports directly to SuitUps NYC Program Director and will work alongside the NYC Program Manager, NYC Youth Partnerships Manager, and numerous contractors to achieve target impact goals. This role will have the ability to work remotely when not needed in person at the SuitUp Office or a SuitUp Event. As this team is cross-functional in nature, it is expected that the Corporate Partnerships Manager feels comfortable supporting the entire team to achieve their annual goals.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Securing corporate partners and funding for programming
Attending onboarding meetings and events as needed to steward relationships
Managing profit margins per event
Pitching the SuitUp model and event framework via video conference, phone, in-person, and email to prospective corporate partners
Supporting the NYC regional pod team to cultivate, manage, and grow relationships with current corporate partners to increase the retention rate
Identifying and expanding SuitUps reach by cultivating and maintaining a portfolio of corporate partners in MA,DMV, NY, NJ, and other neighboring cities/towns
Effectively prioritize leads and apply appropriate time and energy to nurture relationships
Managing SuitUps CRM (Salesforce) by owning and maintaining partnership records, continuously updating key details, and logging emails, calls, and meeting notes as well as pulling monthly reports to track success metrics
Initiating innovative ideas to generate new revenue, add value to partnerships, and develop compelling presentations and proposals

Negotiating partnership terms and contracts with NYC Program Director for current and prospective SuitUp partners

Delivering excellent customer service and creative solutions for challenges such as program visits, employee engagement, media storytelling, and funding logistics

Collaborating with SuitUps marketing team to support in sharing the SuitUp story on all social channels to generate leads for new corporate partners (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

Attending SuitUp events to secure more warm introductions to new corporate partners as needed
Participating in conferences, tablings, networking events, volunteer fairs, charity functions, etc. outside of traditional work hours to grow SuitUps brand and corporate partners
Ability to travel by air, train, or car domestically (do not need a car to apply) for SuitUp events/competitions with

Programs staff to further cultivate relationships with corporate partners ( ~ 5-10 times per year)
Supporting in identifying key stakeholders that can help support SuitUp growth and expansion
Attending weekly company-wide and team meetings
Assisting SuitUp in its fundraising/development efforts by attending after-work events approximately 5-10 times a year (i.e. happy hours, stewardship events, and Suit Up for SuitUp Gala)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to lift or move up to 30 pounds (SuitUp materials)
The employee may be required to frequently stand, climb stairs, and/or move throughout events for up to 5 hours
Taking on tasks outside of the job description to support SuitUp in its growth

Required Skills
Excellent skills in operating computers and various software packages including comfortability with virtual platforms (i.e. Zoom, Salesforce, Google Suite, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with corporate volunteers (ages 21 to 65) and middle/high school students (ages 12 to 18) in a client-facing role
Excellent public speaking, communication, and presentation skills
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and run tasks independently
Organized, energetic, and positive with natural leadership qualities
A passion for education and increasing career awareness for students in underserved, under-resourced communities

Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Previous work experience in education, youth development, or event planning is a plus
Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus

Qualifications
College degree and a minimum of 1-3+ years of relative work experience. This is an ideal role for someone with sales, teaching, fundraising, corporate social responsibility, non-profit management, and/or edtech experience
