Tasks
Create and maintain a PostGRES data warehouse on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Migrate data to the data warehouse
Work with business to identify and create datasets for data analytics
Create, automate, and maintain ETL (Extraction, Translate, Load) for data migrations and submissions
Maintain PostGRES and SQL Server instances, schemas, and tables located on AWS
Create basic data models and documentation
Implement best practices for PostGRES and SQL Server
Respond to and carry out database work requests
Perform performance tuning and optimization as applicable
Implement database security as applicable
Provide knowledge transfer to State staff
Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Five (5) years' combined experience in PostGRES and SQL Server database management, which includes at least one (1) year of experience in each of these databases
Three (3) years' experience in database migration using ETL tool(s)
Three (3) years' experience with data warehousing, including at least six (6) months of experience with AWS data warehouse
Desired Qualifications
Experience with creating and supporting data repositories for data analytics
Experience with database architecture
Experience with Oracle database management
Experience with data modeling
Experience with advanced analytical design tools
Experience with disaster and recovery planning
Experience as a senior database administrator
Experience with performance analysis tool(s)
Experience with implementing database security
