About the Role

As Braven embarks on an ambitious journey to empower 80,000-100,000 Fellows within the coming decade, we seek a dedicated Program Facilitator to ensure the impeccable delivery of the Braven Accelerator experience. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in nurturing the academic prowess and career ascension of our Fellows. Your mission is simple yet impactful: to spearhead the success of our fully remote Leadership and Career Accelerator course (Accelerator), helping our Fellows to soar to new professional heights.

As a Program Facilitator, you will have the unique opportunity to pilot a new version of one of Bravens most critical roles. Youll be on the central Accelerator Course Teama new and specialized unit within the larger Innovation Team. Reporting to the Director, Accelerator Program Success, you will be a central figure in shaping how Braven continues to transform as it continues to grow and serve more Fellows.

What Youll Do

In this dynamic role, you will serve as the face of Braven for Fellows (i.e. students) and Leadership Coaches (i.e. mentors) across your assigned portfolio of colleges and universities. Your core mission is to leverage your strong public speaking, presentation, and engagement skills to remotely facilitate and deliver the Braven Accelerator course and drive the academic and professional excellence of our Fellows.

You will also work with a team to ensure that every aspect of the course experience maintains the highest quality standards for our Leadership Coaches (LCs), Coaching Partners, and Graderseach of whom also plays a vital role in our Fellows' journey. Youll work closely with your team to share learnings about your role (challenges, barriers, etc.) as we continue iterating on the scope of work for this new team and the operational and data systems needed to make this work even more successful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation of Accelerator Course (35%)
    • Lead up to three sections of the Braven Accelerator course, providing dynamic and inclusive instruction that caters to a variety of learning styles.
    • Foster a collaborative and motivating learning environment, leveraging a range of facilitation techniques to ensure active Fellow participation and engagement.
    • Develop, update, and maintain high-quality course materials and resources in line with the needs of the client university partner and the broader organizational curriculum strategy.
    • Within specific parameters, customize curriculum where appropriate to account for student needs and interests.
  • Collaboration for Fellow Success (35%)
    • Work closely with the Director, Accelerator Program Success to identify Fellows who may be at risk or in-need of additional assistance.
    • Implement lower-stakes student support interventions and follow-up to encourage consistent Fellow engagement and success.
    • Provide base-level support for LCs in order to ensure a strong Fellow course experience.
  • Fellow Support & Engagement (25%)
    • Fellow Attendance Tracking
      • Monitor and record Fellow attendance meticulously for each course section.
      • Generate reports and insights on attendance patterns to inform program strategies and individual interventions as needed.
    • Office Hours and Fellow Support
      • Hold regular office hours to provide Fellows with additional support on course material, professional development, and personal growth.
      • Actively listen and provide feedback, while also connecting Fellows to additional resources where necessary.
    • Community Building
      • Outreach to individuals for feedback on the course, building relationships with Fellows, serve as the face, problem-solving with Fellows who have any issues that come up (course, content, life, etc.)
  • Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing (5%)
    • Collaboratively engage with cross-functional teams to systematically capture and document best practices, innovative strategies, and critical insights, establishing a repository of shared knowledge that will inform and refine this teams growth strategy and enable Braven to grow its impact across all campuses effectively.
    • Proactively identify role and team development opportunities by reflecting on individual workstreams, data, Fellow and volunteer feedback, and other performance metrics, to facilitate a culture of continuous learning.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Work Demands

  • Ability to work in person from one of Bravens Hubs three days per week.
  • Travel up to 1-3 times per year across Bravens higher education partners and for Braven team gatherings.
  • Ability to consistently work an adjusted schedule to support the facilitation of weekly programming up to 3 evenings per week during the Fall and Spring semesters and 1 weekend per semester.

Additional Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $44,500-$55,600 in Atlanta, $46,800-$58,500 in Chicago, $51,600-$64,400 in Newark and New York City. This is based on a 50-hour work week at an hourly rate. This is a full-time regular, non-exempt, and benefits eligible position where you will be working at 100% capacity.

Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously.
