• Collecting and investigating/researching legal documents, medical records, scientific and healthcare literature and data, and standards/guidelines as they are related to open cases.
• Analyzing data including medical records, legal documents, scientific and healthcare literature and data, standards/guidelines, costs, etc., as related to open cases.
• Facilitating communication regarding the scientific aspects of matters with clients, parties, experts, witnesses, and vendors.
• Drafting documents (including attorney work product) in healthcare or product liability related cases.
• Educating stakeholders in the scientific facts related to cases.
• Assisting attorneys in developing case strategies.
• Supporting the process of adjudication of legal claims (e.g., trial, settlement, arbitration, or mediation).
• Assisting with trial preparation and at trial regarding the scientific issues involved in products liability and mass tort litigations.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree required.
• A minimum of seven years of related experience in a law firm, insurance company or health care facility.
• Exceptional legal and medical research skills.
• Flexibility to work additional hours and travel, as necessary.
