On behalf of our client, an independent State Agency involved in promoting quality and accountability, we are seeking candidates for the role below.Start date: 01st January 2024, 6 month rolling contract.The role is remote, with occasional days onsite required at offices in Dublin 2.An opportunity has arisen for a UX/UI Designer to join our development team and work on several projects. The right person will be an experienced UX/UI Designer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be responsible for the UX research and design across several new services being introduced by our client. The person appointed will work closely with a high performing cross functional team of business analysts, developers, and quality assurance specialists to understand the needs of our users and deliver a design that meets their business needs. The Key TechnologiesUX ResearchUnderstanding of best practises in corporate applications design Identifying UX problems and developing solutions Experience of Google analytics and Azure Application Insights instruments Ability to monitor key results and reportingUX DevelopmentDesign of Information architecture, screen maps, wireframes, and clickable prototypesUnderstanding of modern Microsoft experiences, design principles Office 365 and Microsoft product families (UI Fabric, SharePoint Online, Dynamics, PowerApps, etc)Experience using graphical design tools such as InVision, Sketch or FigmaUI DesignDesign and implementation of office 365 applications (specifically SharePoint applications), Angular, Google ElementsCreating design system and follow to guidelinesDesign of UI elementsWeb-design Responsive and adaptive designDesirable skillsKnowledge or experience of applications within Further Education and / or Higher EducationThe Person Have experience of working in a high performing multi-disciplinary development team, specifically with business analysts, developers, and quality assurance specialists Can analyse business requirements Have a good understanding of development cycles, development methodologies and processes Can identify design issues and methodically work to their resolution Be able to design graphic user interface elements, menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation, search fields etc. Be able to illustrate design ideas using wireframes, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps Be able to develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look Be able to conduct adjustments based on user feedback Can set and achieve goals Be up to date with best practices in UI design Sector experience
