Job Title: VSI OpenVMS Database Admin Location: RemoteDuration: 6-12+ Months (Possible Extension) Note: Must be USC/GC only Job Description: Experience with VSI OpenVMS Be able to identify OpenVMS issues relating to Oracle RDB such as performance, logicals, batch jobs, file protections Be familiar with user identifiers and the Authorize utility Experience with Oracle RDB Be able to perform RDB database backups and restores Use RMU/ANALYZE to identify fragmentated records, bad indexes, etc Use RMU/EXTRACT to generate DDL as needed Be able to create indexes, add/remove tables and columns Use RMU/SHOW Statistics to identify performance and locking issues Use RDB tools to identify locks and blockers and remedy those quickly Understands Oracle SQL/Services and SQL*NET for RDB (Also called OCI Services) Use RDB debug flags to identify inefficient indexes and problem queries nce with Oracle RDB Be able to perform RDB database backups and restores Use RMU/ANALYZE to identify fragmentated records, bad indexes, etc Use RMU/EXTRACT to generate DDL as needed Be able to create indexes, add/remove tables and columns Use RMU/SHOW Statistics to identify performance and locking issues Use RDB tools to identify locks and blockers and remedy those quickly Understands Oracle SQL/Services and SQL*NET for RDB (Also called OCI Services) Use RDB debug flags to identify inefficient indexes and problem queries
