Nature of Work KANAWHA COUNTY 1 VACANCY The Research Specialist 2 serves as the Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Division's internal evaluator for funded programs and facilitates the development and implementation of the evaluation plan and completion of performance measures. The incumbent will work with external evaluation experts, other agency partners, and the CDC to better align processes with program goals. The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for the contracted evaluators who work on most of the grants and projects within the Division. Minimum Qualifications Training: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in mathematics, statistics, sociology, psychology, political science, evaluation research, behavioral science, criminology, or related social science. Experience: One year of full-time or part-time equivalent paid experience in research work to include evaluation designs, statistical analysis, preparing written research and/or technical reports, and use of statistical software programs. Substitution: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the above disciplines and six semester hours of completed graduate level coursework in research methods, statistics, or advanced mathematics from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required training and experience. ***DETAILS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE MUST BE SHOWN IN THE WORK EXPERIENCE SECTION OF YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION***
