General Managers Purpose & Area of Responsibility

Job Purpose: Functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property and oversees all aspects of the operation, including guest and team member satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering on the goals of the Company as outlined and established by senior leadership.

Provide effective hands-on management and leadership, ensuring consistent execution of company standards, systems, and processes

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete responsibility over all aspects of the food, beverage, and service operation
  • Responsible for the onboarding, offboarding, training and development of all staff and management
  • Ensures that all staff is thoroughly versed and trained in the Companys service standards and has complete knowledge of all products offered
  • Lead, supervise and motivate the restaurant staff throughout service, ensuring consistent execution of service standards
  • Ensures that all manager's area of responsibility is executed consistently and in line with Company expectations
  • Maintain and develop Company systems and processes in order to meet and improve the operational efficiency of the restaurant in discussion and in agreement with senior management
  • Maintains health code regulations and requirements for the safe handling and service of food and beverage
  • Maintains plant cleanliness standards
  • Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the buildings, grounds, HVAC, mechanical equipment, physical contents, cooking and service equipment, furniture, snow removal, landscaping etc
  • Ensures that preventative maintenance procedures are carried out on a scheduled basis
  • Work with senior management and controller to manage, budgets, drive sales, improve costs and exceed established targets
  • Any other duties as requested of you by senior management
  • Requirements

  • Immaculate personal presentation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong command of the English language
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service
  • Meticulous eye for detail and exceptional planning and organization skills
  • Influencing with a confident and outgoing personality and an ability to interact with people at all levels
  • Able to lead and train the staff with a positive can do attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem solving
