Very Busy Restaurant with a dynamic team Fun Family Atmosphere!
Shifts vary from 6- 10 hours daily rarely ever longer!!

Job description
The job responsibilities are but not limited to:

1. Overseeing and managing the front of the house for the Park West Tavern. And maintaining a floor presence at all times.

2. Work closely with John, Randy, Executive Chef, Director of Operations and Catering Director. As well as Front Door Staff, Floor Staff & Bar staff.

3. Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations.

4. Customer Service: Maintaining service floor presence to oversee wait staff, bartenders and busboys. And be the first contact for all our guests entering the restaurant.

5. Maintain Operational and Service Standard objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and identifying trends; and customer satisfaction is maintained.

6. Maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness and maintenance of all public areas within the Park West Tavern including the back Patio, Dining room, lounge, bar area, restrooms and outside street caf.

7. Respond to customer complaints, taking appropriate action to solve the problem.

8. Staff training and developing of wait staff and hourly employees through orientations, ongoing feedback and by conducting performance reviews.

9. Maintain, manage and oversee the complete beverage program which consists of the Wine list, Wine inventory, signature cocktails and craft beers.

10. Closely monitor the safety of the restaurant guests and staff through execution of food safety and restaurant safety standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and PeachWorks
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
  • BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
