Clayton Farms Salads is looking for a Restaurant Prep Professional. The prep role is responsible for preparing and portioning for storage all ingredients for the salad and smoothie lines in this fast paced drive-through fresh food restaurant. Items to handle will include meats, vegetables, dressings and back ups and the role is responsible for assuring stock of all ingredients for daily operations. The role is also expected to maintain cleanliness and is responsible for equipment care and upkeep. Prep Professionals will also assist in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
This position is unique as it includes the preparation of onsite produce grown in our indoor hydroponic systems. We grow the primary source of our recipes (leafy greens and microgreens) just inside the restaurant! Responsibilities may include harvest of fresh produce for daily demand.
We are in search of candidates with a strong drive, a clear understanding of prioritizing tasks, and who want to work with a team with a similar mindset.
This is a part-time position. Mondays and Saturdays
Requirements
The ideal candidate will need a coach-able mindset and be ready to hustle. Although experience is a big plus, it is not a mandatory requirement for consideration.
Candidates will be considered and prioritized based on their experience and skill sets in the following areas:
- Experience in food and/or customer service environments
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Adherence to proper portioning - using scales, measuring spoons, recipe cards and performs portion control tests
- Attention to detail and ability to take initiative a must
- Capable of standing for multiple hours, able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs
- Practice clean as you go!
- Desire to be part of something different
