The Position: Retail Lead
Job Summary:
The Retail Lead will oversee and assist with day-to-day operations of the retail storefront as well as be responsible for the success of retail operations as well as coaching and developing retail staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Assists with handling discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Handles any escalated customer complaints
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
- Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the stores reputation
- Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
- Ensure the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position
- Knowledge of retail management best practices
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizing and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
Work Environment:
Indoor retail environment
Pay:
The Salary for this position starts at $50,000, and will be based upon related experience.
