The Position: Retail Lead

Job Summary:

The Retail Lead will oversee and assist with day-to-day operations of the retail storefront as well as be responsible for the success of retail operations as well as coaching and developing retail staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

1. Assists with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
2. Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
3. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
4. Assists with handling discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.
5. Handles any escalated customer complaints
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
2. Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
3. Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the stores reputation
4. Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
5. Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
6. Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
7. Ensure the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Proven experience as retail manager or in other managerial position
2. Knowledge of retail management best practices
3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
4. Excellent organizing and leadership skills
5. Commercial awareness
6. Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times.

Work Environment:

Indoor retail environment

Pay:

The Salary for this position starts at $50,000, and will be based upon related experience.
