Risk & Controls Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing IT audited management protocols for the Mercer audits supported by Risk & Controls. This position will collaborate closely with business management and technology to support the management of Mercer audits with the eventual goal of taking over the management of general computer controls from Technology. This role will also be responsible for documenting standard operating procedures for Risk & Controls to support technology audit requirements.

We will count on you to:

Be responsible for critical audit management tasks including: assessing and determining audit populations, collecting requested information, analyzing audit submission materials, performing problem solving with auditors and internal business partners, and ensuring audit timelines are met
Be responsible for analyzing audit findings, developing management responses, developing recommendations for corrective action, reviewing and negotiating proposed remediation plan with Operations and Technology, performing steps to remediate and implementing remediation plans with internal business partners and communicating best practices to middle management
Perform risk assessments, identify existing controls and control gaps, develop recommendations to address gaps, negotiating with Operations and Technology to influence remediation steps are also responsibilities of the Risk & Controls Specialist


What you need to have:

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience preferred
5 to 8 years of business experience
Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute projects while ensuring deliverables and specifications are met
Excellent technical, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint

The applicable base salary range for this role is $58,300 to $116,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
