Quality Engineer (SDET) 1 open role

Location: Austin TX (Anywhere in USA / Canada, preferably in Central time zone)
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly energetic, productive and experienced Software Developer in Test to help drive the quality agenda for our SDX infrastructure team, which is developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure for Cloudera's data security, governance and monitoring products.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test using testing frameworks for different cloud platforms
Test result reports
Python programming
SQL queries
Work iteratively in an Agile development environment
Build strong relationships and collaborate with platform and UI engineers, quality engineers, and UX designers as well as with Product Management, Field Engineering, and other external partners
Qualifications:
Experience testing data quality and correctness
Strong focus on test automation
Experience using object-oriented design methodologies applied to testing frameworks
Strong interest in working with developers to ship great products
Strong student in what makes things break
Document-driven approach to information sharing
Strong programming background in Python
Strong experiences writing SQL queries
Pluses:
Experience with performance benchmarks
Experience with Spark, Impala, and other compute frameworks
