This is a Development Manager/ Senior Development Manager role with immense potential for growth in SAP Ariba Guided Buying team. SAP Ariba Guided Buying is transforming the way enterprises buy goods and services. The team is entrepreneurial, dynamic and on a mission to deliver value and best-in-class user experience to the enterprise world. Your work will impact millions of purchases, worth billions of dollars, all originating from within Guided Buying. 



Responsibilities

Lead a dynamic team of engineers.

Work and communicate with cross-functional teams and business unit leadership.

Own complete software development lifecycle – designing, leading implementation and testing of new features within a fast paced, agile environment

Ensure the delivery of quality releases; define and execute against project plans and delivery commitments; Manage day-to-day activities of the engineering team

Work with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical solution

Participate in hiring and on-boarding



Skills & Competencies

Proven success building, motivating and retaining high-performance engineering teams

Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment

Prior success as a software engineer, subject matter expert, and strategic influencer on the direction of the product design and development

Strong technical skills with technologies like Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, and OData/REST protocols to develop modem cutting edge software that performs and scales in cloud environment

Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles, Design Patterns and Software Architecture, especially in new age Cloud solutions

 

Qualifications

Requires 10+ years of professional experience in developing Java/J2EE based enterprise web-based application with 3+ years leading & managing team.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Masters in CS preferred.
