Position: SAP BPC Technical BA/Dev

Client: Ahold Delhaize- GSO

Hiring Manager qualified with: Maria Tsakopiakou- Manager -Delivery Global Finance

Location: 100% Remote- but must be willing to work EST core hours

Contract Length: 6 months +

Able to use or sponsor visas: Yes but must have excellent communication skills!

Must have SAP project implementation experience with at least 5-7 years of consulting environment:

  • Experienced SAP BPC Consultant must be able to work independently with functional and technical/development skill in both consolidation and planning implementation with experience in data manager packages
  • Must have hands-on experience in business process design, requirement gathering, facilitating workshops and technical configurations in Business Planning, Business Budgeting, Business Forecasting and Consolidation Reporting
  • ABAP development experience- report development and writing script logics
  • Preferred: Knowledge of SAP BW preferably in Modeling, Reporting & Extraction

Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics:

Overview:

ADUSA implemented SAP S/4 HANA and went live 1 year ago. Now that they have started to established business as usual process they are building the team to be able to support SAP internally.

-The consultant will be working on project delivery team. Will be interacting with project team, participate in daily stand up meetings, work closely with business and technical stakeholders depending on the project requirements.

-Currently working in a hybrid Agile environment. Hope to eventually transition to full Agile in the future.

Responsibilities:

This is a Global delivery-focused role. Deliver solutions using SAP Business Warehouse and SAP Business Planning and consolidations in the financial sector. The objective of the job is to partner with finance stakeholders in designing, developing, and deploying financial consolidations/planning processes. Main responsibilities include document business requirements, configuration, create/review specification documents, testing, and deployment:

  • Understand financial consolidations/planning processes and assist with implementing.
  • Translates business rules into SAP BPC rules to automate consolidation and planning process.
  • Facilitate & lead (if necessary) designing of planning solutions to solve business problems and needs using SAP BPC HANA
  • Facilitate & lead business requirement definition sessions.
  • Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on BPC implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects.
  • Understand processes in SAP BPC such as EPM, BADI, script logics and computations.
  • Advise on solution roadmap for BPC projects taking into account current Microsoft and Netweaver footprint.
  • Business engagement leader by owning relationship at leadership & operational level.
  • Demand management for supports and projects for the area of responsibility.

  • Engaging in projects to analyze & develop in business process design, requirement gathering, facilitating workshops and technical configurations in Business Planning, Business Budgeting, Business Forecasting and Consolidation Reporting
  • Communicating with project managers / clients to understand the business requirements to conclude the blueprint, configuration, testing, migration, support and continuous enhancements of the Consolidation Reporting and other modules if required.
  • Provides both functional and configuration knowledge in designing and implementing S4 Hana Finance solutions.
  • Support data migration and change management execution; delivering training and supporting users post cutover.
  • Good understanding of key accounting principles and how they are managed in SAP BPC:
    • P&L, Balance sheet & Cashflow (Account Types)
    • Statistical data
    • Consolidation Methods
    • Ownership Manager
    • Currency Translation
    • Master data management and design
    • Business Rules & Logic Script((link removed)shflow)
    • BADI design (to enable ABAP developers to create the rules)
    • Data Package design (Masterdata and data)
    • EPM reporting design
    • Security
    • Intercompany Eliminations
    • Equity Eliminations
    • Currency Translation and CTA (required if Europe are onboarded)

Proactive support of the finance community on the newest and best data methodologies:

  • Partners with SAP Global Delivery Center management team to establish and support a high performance, service-oriented culture that enables the enterprise to drive sales growth and productivity performance across the organization.
  • Drives the Ahold Delhaize SAP BPC HANA Finance agenda and priorities, encourage people to engage with retail business process and think about how SAP solution can be used to make Ahold Delhaize more competitive.
  • Uses the insights from the engagement survey to inspire and motivate our people, in the short-term focus on leading by example, embracing diversity, and explaining the reasons for change.

Requirements:
