Role: Director SAP Projects

Responsibilities:

• This position serves as the strategic and tactical leader of all SAP based projects within client, including migration and integration. Reporting directly to the client CFO, this position is responsible for leading the full integration of client legacy information systems into the client SAP platform.


• Manages the strategic migration of all legacy systems into SAP platform.


• Leads a project team providing technical service and support for SAP transition in Operations, Accounting/Finance, HR, Payroll, and other associated business areas.


• Directs and coordinates development and production activities of management SAP systems within client.


• Provides expertise, leadership and direction in the integration and management of security technologies within SAP.


• Consults with other client leadership to determine information requirements of the Company, determining priorities of new projects and discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.


• Defines and implements the process used for developing and maintaining the SAP information system.


• Confers with department heads involved with proposed cross-functional projects to ensure cooperation and further defines nature of project.


• Prepares progress reports to client Leadership Team and CFO of project status and deviation from goals.


• Prepares proposals and solicit contracting for outside services for systems analysis, programming, and computer services.


• Manages a project team of IT and business professionals to deliver world-class system capability.


• Travel required (estimated 40%)

Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or IT Information Systems, B.A. in management information systems, math or related field strongly preferred. But Multi-year experience leading SAP in large scale business may be considered in lieu of formal education.


• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the successful technical management of a company’s SAP system and team. Background in SAP and system conversions imperative.


• Hands on experience in SAP ERP Systems.


• Background coordinating with Accounting, Finance and Operations staff to manage and/or upgrade systems.


• Keen understanding of not only technology, but the needs of a large manufacturing organization.


• Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, executive presence and ability to motivate staff.
