Job Description
The SAP FICO-TAX Team Lead must have a based will be focused on implementing tax functionality and support activities of the S4 2022/ Vertex system. The Tax Team Member requires and in-depth knowledge of Global accounting business processes specifically in the areas of Withholding Tax, Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Compliance Reporting.
Must be knowledgeable of the following Tax configuration and business scenarios:
Indirect Tax for Billing: Tax procedures, Tax codes, Tax condition records, account determination, etc.
Integration with Vertex for Indirect Tax calculation for EMEA, APAC, NA, LATAM
Tax related fields for Master data: COA, Product Master, Business Partner
Withholding Tax for Customer Billings, FICA-AR (preferred) and FICO-AR
Intercompany entry configuration, knowledge of transfer pricing reporting requirements
Direct Tax reporting Segmented P&L, etc.
Leading/Parallel Ledger specific posting configuration for local GAAP reporting
Experience with Advance Compliance Reporting (ACR)/ Document Reporting Compliance (DRC) modules
Preference given to resources with localization knowledge for (UK, Ireland, US, Philippines, India, Australia, New Zealand)
Preference given to resources with E-invoicing/ E-reporting in regards to statutory regulations
Preference given to resources with Tax set up in BRIM/ Convergent Invoicing/ FICA environment
Knowledgeable of EU foreign registration requirements and reporting preferred
Additional Tasks/Responsibilities:
Provide functional direction/management to the project team's offshore and junior resources.
Manage work stream's team deliverables to the project schedule
Possesses the ability to organize activities, set priorities, handle multiple tasks, make or guide client to a decision/ resolution
Interface with functional BPOs to define the business processes and requirements that will be enabled by SAP and may be required for Functional specification documents.
The ability to work in a fast-paced team atmosphere and to work with client personnel at various levels effectively is critical. Supports and helps develop power users in the business
Supports needed audit and compliance efforts
Supports SAP testing of S4 2022 and Vertex
Identify critical issues, scope changes, opportunities and escalates to program management as appropriate.
Works with cross-functional groups in the program to identify and develop solutions to business issues and opportunities in their area of expertise.
Defines functional / technical requirements for change requests and interfaces with the development team for completion
Supports the development of training materials and documentation, as well as provides Train the trainer- sessions as required
Participates in the process integration and user acceptance testing (to include positive and negative security role testing). Must be able to write Integration test scripts
Effectively manages and resolves defects.
