Day to Day job Duties:
Lead person from IMA Analytics Team to develop, test, execute, document, present and communicate HANA Upgrade (1.0 to 2.0) findings and observation.
Clearly communicate, co-ordinate and hand-off tasks with other team members of HANA Support Team, HANA Upgrade Project Team (Infra, OS, DB, BASIS, Network, etc.) as well as business users based in different time zones.
Take initiative to closely work with other IMA Teams, Enterprise IT and SBG stakeholders to plan the project and ensure there no scheduling conflicts, competing priorities, environment availability constraints due to other parallel on-going projects and manage the delivery of the project within project timeline and cost.
Identify risks and compatibility issues during and post HANA upgrade and communicate to IT and business leaders.
Determine, document and present listing of all HANA object types, functions that are not compliant with HANA 2.x
Devise strategy to convert incompatible, non-compatible HANA code and objects (includes all types of HANA objects, including schemas, packages, tables, views, procedures, table functions, etc.) into HANA 2.x compliant and execute on strategy.
Take steps to mitigate risks and devise strategy for path forward with minimal impact to business data and reporting operations.
Propose alternate solutions to HANA Upgrade path for any Showstopper, Blocker, Critical and Major issues discovered before, during and post upgrade.
Use HANA Studio extensively to execute SQL scripts, HANA views, procedures and compare results between current and NEW upgraded HANA environments. This includes execution times, performance results as well as performance tuning and optimization opportunities.
Understand Client HANA landscape and impact on load balancing, SLT, ETL, HANA table distributions and partitions, and pro-actively monitor it during project duration till end of HyperCare period.
Test importing objects to ensure integrity of import process is not compromised or broken.
Proactively monitor, observe impact on SLT compatibility issues and execute on remediation plan (re-replicate, etc.), re-activate HANA schemas, objects, etc.
Understand SDLC, development lifecycle, and migration methodology and strategy in dual maintenance environment using HANA Studio and ESM (Enterprise Solution Manager) connecting through VDI/VPN and via Microsoft RDC Jump Servers.
Test Imports, exports, and document results. Ensure imports are not compromised due to backwards compatibility issues.
Develop, test and execute calculation, ops, analytic, calculation, dimension and attribute views. Document results and present finding on compatibility issues, mitigation, and remedial steps along with effort needed.
Test CRUD matrix (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for ALL HANA objects, including APIs
for major service application, accounts and assess impact.
Test connections and upgrade compatibility with HANA connected systems, including reporting systems (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, Alteryx) and ETL Tools (Informatica, BODS, SSIS, Alteryx, etc.).
Pro-actively connect and communicate with stakeholders and application owners in completing tasks.
Provide technical/Functional guidance in analyzing, planning, implementing, and executing business specific processes that could be impacted during HANA upgrade.
Consult with Client BASIS Team on project plan, timelines, and risks.
Work with Client SAP Security to ensure HANA Upgrade does not break Schema, Object Level security compliance, cyber safety, as AERO data is ITAR restricted.
Differentiate and determine if a complex problem is system related or a business process problem and make impactful recommendations accordingly with the help of the broader cross-functional IT organization.
Understand and engage with various capabilities and resources available from the Enterprise IT Group and utilize those resources to execute smooth HANA upgrade and hand-off to HANA Support.
Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional AERO and Enterprise IT resources in adjacent functions such as Sourcing, Logistics, Finance, Manufacturing/Planning, Engineering, C&E and others as needed.
Exhibits customer-focused leadership behaviors as will collaborate with key business stakeholders and/or executives, peers, and internal customers.
Use HANA Studio as a tool to Client areas for improvement.
Conduct presentations of testing statuses, findings, observations, and results and functional and/or technical information concerning HANA specific project and/or schedules, resources.

Basic Qualifications:
US Citizen due to ITAR requirements
Solid 7+ years of SQL experience
5+ years of SAP HANA experience, plus expertise level knowledge of HANA Studio
Completed at least 1 major HANA upgrade within the past 3 years.
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Degree: Bachelor's in computer science or related field
Nice to Have; (But not a must)
Working knowledge of Tableau.
Working knowledge of Alteryx.
Understands Agile.
Will to work in a fast paced project
