Do you want to be part of the business development team helping to establish Amazon Web Services as the leading cloud computing platform for SAP solutions and customers?



As a Partner Solutions Architect focused on SAP within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, and Amazon EBS) across the global SAP customer and partner base. The emphasis being on working directly with customers to develop cloud migration and/or adoption strategies as it relates to their business critical SAP systems.



The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in both SAP products and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills that will enable you to represent AWS well, not only to customers but to the broader SAP community including SAP, developers, & architects. The ideal candidate should also have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.



Roles & Responsibilities:

As a key member of the AWS Business Development team working to ensure SAP customer success on the AWS platform, you will act as an Amazon ambassador in customer engagements as well as key efforts directly with SAP partners.

This includes:

· Collaborate with the global AWS SAP Account team on strategic customer opportunities.

· Contribute to AWS’ strategy and understanding of the SAP Market.

· Interface with C-level as well as senior technical resources to put in a place a strategy for customer cloud adoption.

· Educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of large global enterprise customers.

· Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing SAP solutions on AWS with the SAP Developer, SAP end user and AWS communities.

·Up to 80% travel may be required.

 

· 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries and demonstrate an understanding of SAP applications, server technology, and network security.

· Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack, specifically NetWeaver, Quicksizer SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and their architecture and infrastructure needs.

· Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.

· 5+ years in a customer facing role.

· BA/BS degree required.

 

· Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Math a plus

· Experience working with end user or developer’s communities.

· Experience with helping customers implement SAP integration scenarios through SAP Cloud Platform or other cloud services a plus.

· Ability to to contribute to complex software development projects

· Previous experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting SAP solutions on AWS a plus.

· Either experience working for SAP or with SAP in a development/customer support role.

· Past experience writing and publishing technical whitepapers desirable.

· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.

· Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
