Required Skills:

· Strong hands-on experience in Spark, Scala programming. - Mandatory

· Strong hands-on experience Hadoop ecosystem, i.e. HDFS, Hive, Impala, Kafka and Spark Streaming. - Mandatory

· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL - Mandatory

· To be able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them

· To be able to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies

· To be able to document

· Candidates must have excellent verbal, written and communication skills

Good to have skillset -

· Agile and Lean SDLC process

· Experience in ETL

· Experience with UNIX/Linux shell script development

· Experience on Trifacta: Data Wrangling Tool

· Experience in BI tools (Tableau or Spotfire or OBIEE)

Key Responsibilities -

· Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.

· Troubleshoot, debug and enhance code based on need

· Create the rules for data mapping, transformation and enrichment to meet the requirements.

· Perform informal testing of the rules and unit test

· Recommend and execute improvements

· Participate in peer review of deliverables such as code, designs, and test plans.

· Create technical/functional documentation as needed

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 4 years of Spark-Scala development experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field.
