Job Title: SDET / QA Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:
As an SDET with a focus on the healthcare domain, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our software products. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Test Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with the development and QA teams to understand project requirements and healthcare domain standards.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing.
Execute tests to identify defects and ensure software quality, including validation of healthcare-specific functionality.

2. Test Automation:
Create, maintain, and improve automated test scripts using testing tools, frameworks, and programming languages.
Identify opportunities for test automation within healthcare workflows and patient data management.
Integrate automated tests into our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

3. Healthcare Compliance and Regulations:
Stay updated with healthcare industry standards, compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA), and regulatory changes.
Ensure that our software products meet all healthcare data security and privacy standards.
Work closely with compliance officers to validate adherence to healthcare regulations.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product managers, healthcare domain experts, software developers, and designers.
Actively participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback on development work.
Assist in planning and executing user acceptance testing (UAT) with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

5. Documentation:
Document test procedures, results, and healthcare-specific test cases.
Maintain detailed test documentation and reports to meet healthcare compliance and auditing needs.
Contribute to the creation of comprehensive technical documentation in collaboration with the development team.

6. Process Improvements:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within the healthcare software development lifecycle.
Propose and implement solutions to streamline testing and compliance processes.
Continuously improve the healthcare domain-specific testing strategies.

Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a background in healthcare software testing.
Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, including familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and regulations, such as HIPAA.
Solid understanding of software development principles and coding experience.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of programming languages and scripting for test automation.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
