About the role

Softheon is looking for a VP, Business Development to join our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure strategic partnerships, develop new business opportunities, and enhance existing relationships to promote the adoption and utilization of ICHRA solutions. This position requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, excellent leadership skills, and deep industry knowledge to navigate complex market dynamics and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

You will:

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including health insurance carriers, brokers, third-party administrators, and technology providers. Leverage these partnerships to expand the reach of our ICHRA solutions and drive business growth.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities in the ICHRA space. Develop and execute strategic plans to capitalize on these opportunities, including launching new product offerings and entering new markets.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue targets. Drive the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and closure of deals. Monitor sales pipelines and performance metrics to ensure consistent progress towards business objectives.
  • Create strategic business partnerships and drive new revenue sources for the organization while actively growing and managing your own sales pipeline.
  • Oversee and implement full sales cycle, including market research, needs analysis, pitch, closing, renewal, and upsell.
  • Establish and achieve sales goals, metrics, and milestones and track and report on progress and success.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the C-suite and to other senior executives at health insurance companies and other large partner opportunities, associations, employers, and any other partners looking to make health insurance products available to their customers (members).

You have:

  • BS or BA degree in a related field required. Masters degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development and account management, with a strong focus on affiliate partner relationships.
  • Experience with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid products and services, ancillary products, and Marketing compliance.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving business development initiatives, partnerships, and revenue growth within the healthcare industry, preferably in the area of individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements (ICHRA).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
