Job Description: Colden has an immediate opening for a full-time Safety and Health Specialist position based at a client facility located outside of Burlington, Vermont. The selected candidate will work as part of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to support the site and Northeast Regional safety and health programs and EHS objectives. Responsibilities include: Conduct workplace safety inspections and audits, and safety and health program evaluations. Complete job hazard assessments and machine safeguarding and tool installation safety reviews. Support industrial hygiene exposure assessments, surveys, and other monitoring, as directed. Coordinate or deliver safety training such as new employee safety orientation and/or contractor safety orientation. Review and update safety and health program documents and maintain required records. Communicate safety and health policies and work effectively with facility personnel and contractors. Conduct weekly and monthly tracking and reporting for safety and health metrics as assigned, and for hazards reported, near misses, incidents, and other safety program responsibilities. Assist EHS team in supporting other safety and health initiatives, as assigned. RequirementsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, construction safety, environmental health, or a related science or engineering field Experience range: 0 to 5 years Fluency in the English Language - written and oral Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well in individual and team settings Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with U.S. OSHA regulations Previous experience in a site EHS department Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
