What does a  Applications/ Sales Engineer do?

• CNC Programming of Fanuc & Siemens CNC Controls


• Training of customers and employees on CNC Controls


• Set up of CNC Lathes, Machining Centers and Grinders


• Processing of parts in milling, turning and grinding


• Time study estimates of parts


• Work holding and fixturing application evaluation


• Support customers in programming and applications questions


• Program parts for customers on a fee basis


• CAD/CAM capabilities on a variety of platforms


• Time will be split between the shop and being out doing sales.


• Travel with sales people to support applications for selling of machine tools

• Must be able to walk, stand, and work at a fast pace for 8 hours or more


• Physical demands: Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs, may include standing and bending for a longer period of time


• Must be able to visually inspect machinery and programs


• Must be able to respond to audio prompts

Basic Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old


• Experience in troubleshooting, installation, and repair of machine tools


• Knowledge of CNC controls and major mechanical and electrical components


• Ability to work independently in a timely manner with high quality under minimal supervision


• Demonstrated ability and commitment to customer satisfaction


• Good interpersonal communication skills


• Ability to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, colleagues and suppliers


• Physical demands: Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs, may include standing and bending for a longer period of time


• Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screening
