POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated intern to join the Sales department. This is a temporary position to assist the sales department with planning, developing, and managing the execution of commercial initiatives to attain or exceed sales targets established by the management team.
You will have an opportunity to work with multiple departments to gain skills across a number of disciplines. This internship offers the chance to gain hands-on experience with the daily operations of a growing business, collaborate with professionals in a cross-functional capacity and build our Sales Department practice and process. You will spend 50% of your time working directly with Sales Leadership and the other 50% of your time focused on supporting strategic territories.
This is a full-time internship up to 40 hours per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of Kate Farms products and Challenger sales process.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills to balance responsibilities and tasks.
- Builds report on field sales activities and industry trends to support regional/channel strategy.
- Supports Senior Directors, Area Sales with administrative tasks.
- Assist Territory Managers in focus markets with urgent sample requests.
- Support Territory Managers in focus markets with creation of target lists in Veeva platform
- Support Territory Managers in focus markets with event coordination and planning (i.e., identifying venues, logistics, etc.)
- Provide coverage for vacant territories and/or coverage for vacations needed.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma and ideally pursuing a college degree in business, sales/marketing, or dietetics.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organized, dependable, and detail oriented.
- A great attitude towards getting things done: Be willing to roll up your sleeves and to do what is necessary results driven personality.
- Team player with a cooperative spirit
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
- Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings on occasion.
- Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
- Must possess computer skills with a keen understanding of business software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents, email, and calendar.

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, NYC, or California, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position ranges between $18 - $20. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Kate Farms salary range for this position. This range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, internal pay alignment, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Kate Farms total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long- term incentives.
