Job Description:
We are looking for Sales Manager role and is primarily focused and responsible for leading and coordinating strategic business development efforts, oversight of sales strategies, definition and promoting cross department processes, and assisting in tactical account management for key clients

Typical Sales Manager Responsibilities:

  • Partner with other leaders to establish and/or improve cross-functional systems and/or processes.
  • Develop and maintain long range sales forecasting tools/reports and provide timely feedback to senior management.
  • Develop sales forecasts and team performance goals. Motivate and coach sales team when necessary to deliver exceptional service while meeting or exceeding growth targets. Ensure that overall team time spent on actively selling is of the appropriate ratio to achieve the annual sales goal.
  • Assist in onboarding new Sales personnel with training and support.
  • Partner with Marketing Manager to expand sales within desired customer segments. Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for clients, representatives and internal sales staff.
  • Manage the performance of the sales team by performing some of the following: huddles, one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, positive recognition, coaching and following up on personnel issues.
  • Assist and help manage team workload and predict capacity/resource needs for the future.
  • Assign markets, accounts or territories to sales team members. Assist and/or oversee presentations and proposals from the sales team.
  • Identify methodologies and repeatable steps/checklists to efficiently qualify or disqualify incoming leads by telephone and email. Ensure all leads are reviewed and responded to within 24 hours of inquiry.
  • Perform annual business reviews to ensure success of partner groups. Monitor strategic plans for our partners and ensure expectations and accountability are clearly defined for partners.
  • Ensure support is provided to existing customers through the management of the sales team and independent sales representatives. Actively engage in difficult conversations to support team where necessary to ensure obligations (link removed)>

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of previous sales experience; 3-5+ years of previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field preferred. Formal management training or coursework is strongly preferred. Relevant experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, and strong mechanical aptitude may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems (Epicor, Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc).
