What can you expect?

As a Marsh Europe Sales Strategy & Planning Leader, you will help define the companys sales operational process in line with the overall Marsh McLennan and regional strategy. You will report to the Head of Sales or CCO, Europe and work closely with senior stakeholders across the region, including country Sales and CCO leaders, to drive sales initiatives, provide insight, offer training, and work on growth drivers for the region.
The Sales Strategy & Planning Leader, is adept technically, strong operationally, collaborative in nature, analytical and skilled at project management. While certain aspects of the role require a structured approach, other areas will benefit from creative, innovative thinking.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As a strategic thinker, proactively work with a range of stakeholders and business units to lead and support data-led decisions on sales productivity, go-to-market strategies and value propositions
Create effective Sales reporting and compatible dashboards to support the business, partnering with the international analytics teams
Lead pipeline management as well as adoption of the new CRM Tool
Act as the data steward establishing the Sales governance and data management to ensure accuracy for the region
Create Sales communication, training programs & initiatives
Requires communication with executive leadership

Oversee the sales operations, supporting the sales process and monitoring the effectiveness of sales efforts to ensure alignment with overall business objectives
Develop and monitor Sales productivity metrics and analyses to drive Sales insights
Collaborate and lead on the implementation of a new CRM tool by effectively communicating and training sales teams, ensuring smooth adoption, and maximizing its potential to enable greater collaboration
Ongoing management of corporate CRM (MPower) including data quality, reporting and dashboards, training initiatives, security maintenance, and onboarding
Lead and/or actively participate in the strategic planning and execution of regional sales initiatives and campaigns for new revenue growth
Leverage data insights to identify growth drivers
Implement client segmentation, targeting, and positioning initiatives that assist senior sales management/executives in deciding capital allocation based on the internal requirements and the external market
Assist in the identification of new or growing sales opportunities by Industry and Geography to enable agile response to market changes using sales data
Track and analyse results to identify opportunities for sales and cross-sales process improvement
Act as the Sales liaison for Operations and Finance teams to ensure alignment on streamlining sales processes/strategies, allocating targets, balancing territories, and enhancing visibility of pipeline management, as well as be the touchpoint for the international sales analytics and insights teams
Prepare sales-related revenue reports to aid the Finance Department in forecasting
Oversee the change management and distribution of communication and training of regional sales standards

What makes you stand out:

Master or Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or another business related field or equivalent
7-10 years of Sales Operations or other business operations or analytics experience with direct management of sales processes, pipeline management, CRM tools, and sales reporting
Strong team management and relationship building, influencing, and coaching skills
Proven change management and facilitation skills with ability to decipher and implement new concepts, standards, and requirements clearly and effectively
Experience working cross-functionally with different Business Units
Advanced knowledge of CRM tools, MS Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
In-depth knowledge and exposure to business process workflows, sales contracts, systems integration and finance/accounting principles is required
Exposure to Business Intelligence and Big Data is a key asset
Advanced oral and written communication skills with a proven track record providing business reporting for Senior & Executive leadership.
Strong relationship building, influence and negotiation skills. Proven facilitation/ presentation skills with ability to decipher and explain new concepts and issues clearly and easily.
Knowledge of Insurance, and/or Professional Services industries is encouraged
