As the Sales Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our sales team by providing strategic direction, pipeline management, mentoring, and support. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales opportunity pipeline while collaborating closely with the sales management team to drive revenue and uphold OMGs commitment to revenue growth.

Day in the Life

Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide clear guidance, support, and coaching to the sales team members.
  • First point of contact/escalation for Sales Executives in need of support or assistance.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork and a strong sales culture.
  • Manage performance expectations and KPIs for individual team members
  • Conduct weekly pipeline reviews and territory forecasts for each rep.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Responsible for Sales Pipeline forecast and accuracy as well as presenting forecasts to leadership at the beginning of each month.
  • Ownership of personal pipeline and quota achievement
  • Ownership of a team of Sales Executive pipelines and quotas
  • Collaborate with the sales management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Assist in setting sales targets and track progress towards achieving them.
  • Ensure effective communication of sales strategies and goals to the team.

Sales Operations

  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely and effective sales cycle progression.
  • Participate in key sales negotiations and provide support to team members when required.
  • Partner with Revenue Ops to drive key initiatives related to opportunity scoring, win-loss analysis, etc.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, customer service) to streamline processes and improve overall sales efficiency.
  • Partner with Sales Ops to ensure all Outreach.io sequences are up to date and appropriate for the season.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Salesforce data cleanliness and accuracy.
  • Generate regular sales reports and performance metrics for the sales management team to be presented weekly.
  • Conduct in-depth sales data analysis to identify improvement areas and assess team performance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the management team.

Training and Development:

  • Organize and conduct quarterly sales training sessions to enhance the team's product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the team, focusing on continuous improvement of pipeline efficiency, SFDC cleanliness, sales skills, and improved forecasting.
  • Assist in the training and onboarding of recently promoted/new SE

Non-KPI expectations:

  • In office 4 days minimum with 5 days of in office coverage expected between all sales leadership (leads and managers).
  • Lead one Sales Stand up per month
    • This standup should be focused on strategic pipeline growth, forecasting, trends etc. on top of weekly updates as normal.
  • Embody the responsibilities and expectations of revenue leadership
  • Embody the OMG Magic behavioral anchors
  • Participation in and promotion of company sponsored events is highly encouraged
  • Participation in Alpha Team for Product is required where applicable.
    • Encouraging and holding accountable your team to participate

Requirements

What You Need

  • Must be a Senior Sales Executive in good standing with the company
  • Must exhibit OMG Magic Behavioral Anchors
  • Must be certified to sell both OMG Pop-up and Company Stores
  • Must have averaged 70% of quota or above month to month throughout tenure in the SE seat
  • Must be able to work in Dallas HQ 4 days a week (subject to changes and updates to the OMG company policy)
