Overview:

Press Ganey currently has an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Developer in Chicago, IL. This role will support Information Technology. The primary responsibilities of this position are to design, develop, support and maintain software applications. Other responsibilities include: communicating effectively with product management to determine the software application requirements, create and effectively execute the development plan.



Duties & Responsibilities:



Designs Software Applications:



Percentage of Time 45%




  • Gathers requirements and design specifications, researches technologies.

  • Designs user interface, supporting database, and application architecture.

  • Performs Systems Analysis and Design, prepares functional specifications and technical specifications for small applications or systems.

  • Insures compliance and recommends change, if necessary, in standards, policies or processes.

  • Develops unit test plans for software applications.


Develops and Implements Software Applications:



Percentage of Time 45%

  • Follows and updates the design specifications as needed.

  • Produces supporting documentation.

  • Develops code according to development standards.

  • Assists other developers with development providing guidance on best practices.

  • Prepares work for inclusion in the release/deployment management process.

  • Assists technical leads in code reviews and provides insight and feedback for improvement.


Supports Software Applications:



Percentage of Time 10%

  • Troubleshoots problems identified by users.

  • Creates installation, troubleshooting, and end user documentation.

  • Provides support and follow-up for issues.


Technical Skills:


  • Utilization of Apex, JavaScript and GIT

  • Writes Unit/Integration Tests to prove the software meets the functional needs

  • Troubleshoot distributed event driven applications

  • Supports the full cycle of software applications including design, build, package, deploy, troubleshoot and bug fix.

  • Follows an Agile Software Development practices that delivers incremental value to the business owner

  • Additional skills with experience strongly considered

Experience



2 to 4 years’ experience as an Application Developer specifically working on Salesforce Development.



Education



Education/training equivalent of 4-year college program (i.e. Bachelor’s Degree)
