The Role


The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the Director of People & Culture and serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the organization's people managers and employees. The HRBP collaborates with various stakeholders to drive HR initiatives, provide expert guidance, and support the achievement of organizational goals through effective people management practices. The Human Resources Business Partner plays a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. This position requires a strong understanding of both business operations and human resources functions. A forward-thinking, adaptable, and results-oriented professional who can navigate the evolving landscape of HR and contribute to the success of the organization will thrive in this role.


What we do


Founded in 2015, ReUp Education is the only organization that focuses exclusively on helping colleges and universities engage and re-enroll the more than 40% of US students who have stopped out and support them until graduation, through our technology-enabled service. To date, we have re-enrolled nearly 22,500 students, assisted over 8,000 to graduate, and recaptured over $85 million in tuition for our university partners.


What youll do


  • Collaborates with the Director of People & Culture on people-related strategy design
  • Support and execute people-related strategy across the organization
  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to all levels of the organization
  • Proactively assess the team and organizational needs and root causes, make recommendations, guide informed decision-making and implement appropriate solutions in collaboration with the Director of People & Culture
  • Design and deliver targeted solutions with a high degree of focus on scale and growth, including performance management, talent management, recognition, change management and team building to support the teams growth and individual development plans
  • Responsibility for the full employee life cycle, onboarding to offboarding
  • Partner with the People & Culture team as to workforce planning, recruiting, employee engagement, DEIB initiatives, company events and communication, and ensure cultural alignment
  • Identify training and development needs within the organization and design/implement relevant programs
  • Utilize HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance and accurate reconciliation of submitted expense reports

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, related field and/or equivalent experience
    • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other HR certifications are a plus
  • 2 plus years of experience as an HRBP or similar role
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proven experience in handling complex employee relations issues
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze HR metrics and make data-informed decisions
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System), Google Workspace/MS Office Suite
    • Proficiency in a Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Available for limited travel (Ex. professional development, company strategy session, company retreat)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary $80,000-$88,000
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees
    • We pay 100% of the employee's premium and 50% of any dependents' premiums

Location


While ReUp is a remote organization with a geographically distributed team, Austin/San Antonio,TX is preferred. States this position may also be based remotely in one of the states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA and WI.
