Our client company is seeking an experienced Sawmill Superintendent to supervise production and maintenance areas and be responsible for meeting production goals and for all aspects of supervising employees.
You must be willing to:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Ensure a safe working environment and verify all employees are following safety rules/policies
Plan/oversee all budgetary items
Be responsible for accurate inventory counts.
Review maintenance issues/write work orders
Be responsible for training/certification of employees
Comply with environmental regulations.
Work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
Work with and around hazardous materials
Requirements (IF YOU DONT HAVE THESE, DONT APPLY):
High School/GED
8 years lumber mill manufacturing/maintenance experience
Excellent computer/communication skills
Excellent problem solving/time management skills
Knowledge of sawmill/planner equipment & quality control programs
Strong supervisory skills
