Our company is seeking a talented Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. The primary focus of this role will be on monitoring and responding to security incidents and compliance requirements in real-time. The SOC Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and investigating potential threats, coordinating incident response efforts, and ensuring that security incidents and compliance requirements are resolved in a timely manner. This role also includes evaluating security tools and solutions for future deployment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and respond to security incidents and compliance requirements in real-time

• Analyze and investigate potential security threats
• Coordinate incident response efforts with other members of the cybersecurity team and IT department

• Ensure that security incidents and compliance requirements are resolved in a timely manner and according to established policies and procedures

• Implement security controls to prevent and mitigate security incidents

• Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities

• Collaborate with other members of the IT team to develop and implement effective security solutions

• Evaluate security tools and solutions for future deployment

• Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and threats and recommend improvements to existing security measures

• Develop and maintain security incident response plans

• Audit internal tools to ensure all endpoints have them installed and functioning

• Report on and work with the IT team to ensure that the vulnerability management process is effective

• Participate and drive cyber security awareness program

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in security operations or a similar role

• Strong understanding of security technologies and protocols such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEMs, and endpoint protection tools

• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as PCI, NIST, ISO, SOC 2, and HIPAA

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to think critically and creatively to identify new attack vectors and recommend solutions

• Strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and threats in security operations

• Adherence to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
