job summary:

As a Security Architect you will be expected to:

• Support high quality architectural solutions within a large End User Computing (EUC) environment, consisting of multiple technology generations operating in parallel with programs spanning one or more business domains.

• Work on multiple projects in parallel utilizing the waterfall and agile methodologies to contribute to efficient and secure solutions that best fit the business requirements and align to enterprise objectives.

• Act as the security subject matter expert, working with the architecture team throughout the design, implementation, and operationalization of EUC solutions.

• Provide senior level 3 technical support services for issues, ensure reliable operation of production, and diagnostic processes.

• Maintain a high degree of ownership and transparency.

• Be a champion of engineering best-practices, tooling, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the automation of integration testing within a CI/CD pipeline for security related design elements.

• Proactively identify and implement process improvements for the way we test and deploy updates to the environments to ensure security and compliance.

• Write documentation, including installation procedures, and troubleshooting tips for use by the operations teams. Assist to maintain, monitor, and tune production system for optimal performance, especially when relating to the security tools running within the platforms, and identify opportunities to improve system and application performance (e.g., automating manual system tasks).

• Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements and demonstrate the solid ability to determine the appropriate technical path forward for platform adoption. Stay abreast of product upgrades, releases and overall industry trends in the security field.

• Serve as an internal, senior, trusted advisor to provide security consulting services across multiple project teams providing advice on all aspects of security and compliance within the architecture process.

• Assist with compensating control alternatives where security requirements cannot be met.

• Integrate security efforts and extensively collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to move programs forward with greater speed and accuracy.

• Promote and foster collaboration and standardization across multiple internal technology groups based on common technology interests and priorities.

• Establish and maintain a repository of reference architecture, deploy best practices and lessons learned to drive efficient business development initiatives and continuously explore paths to shorten time to production.

• Monitor emerging business and cybersecurity trends and proactively identify emerging cybersecurity use cases to drive innovation opportunities.

• Applies technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap.

• Collaborates with other Architects in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions.

• Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements.

• Develop security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and meet compliance obligations.
