We are seeking to hire a Security Guard to join our Engineering

JOB SUMMARY
The Security Guard will provide facility security systems management for the Vandalia site and serve as the initial contact for employees and visitors entering the facility. The Security Guard shall also be responsible for ensuring site adherence to security and safety protocol including DEA and controlled substance requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
- Provide security services for Adares Vandalia, OH facility.
- Checking in and out visitors and contractors.
- Maintain surveillance of internal and external monitoring systems.
- Ability to walk facility to perform security inspections and audits.
- Monitor and enforce with DEA security protocols.
- Provide insight and development of security policies and practices.
- Serve as a point of contact for all security and emergencies services where required.
- Ability to interact with site visitors and Adare employees in a professional and confidential manner.
- Maintain site security access badging systems, program and protocols.
- Provide site security training where required for contractors and visitors.
- Maintain site security alarms and response procedures (Fire, Burglar, DEA access)
- Manage, schedule and maintain contract security services where required. (holiday and vacation scheduling)
- Monitor site security cameras and controlled drug access areas. Report any suspicious activity to site management.
- Respond to after hour calls and notifications where required.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 1-3 years of experience in Law Enforcement, Security, or Facilities is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with DEA Controlled substance security experience is preferred
- Knowledge in GMP manufacturing environments preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and time management skills are essential.
- Interfaces with all departments, corporate management and outside agencies.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- High degree of oral and written communication skills, and confidentiality required to interface with sensitive employee relations.
- Must be dependable and regularly/predictably at work and on time.
