AdTheorent is seeking a high performing Senior/Staff Accountant to join our Finance team! We are looking for a highly motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced, high growth environment and enjoys being a team player. While this role is primarily remote, please note you are required to come into the NY office 1 day a month for an onsite Finance meeting. For the months that end each quarter, you will be required to come into the NY office 2 days in a row (vs 1 day) to attend scheduled team events.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain monthly GL reconciliations and analysis; complete monthly close procedures; compile and post detailed journal entries
  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure accuracy in billing procedures
  • Generate customer invoices, credit memos and issue timely statements
  • Ownership of AR related tasks such as customer credit evaluations, cash collection forecasts
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for domestic and international accounts
  • Maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets and schedules
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of data; compile variance analysis reports
  • Contribute to the annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Help to build out and maintain SOX infrastructure
  • Support quarterly and year end budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare periodic commissions analysis and maintain commissions software
  • Build and maintain relationships with various teams within the company
  • Maintain flexibility to work on special projects and other duties as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-5 years in a Finance or Accounting Role, (e.g. preferably prior Big 4 public accounting, large regional firm, and/or public accounting background
  • Must be an organized multitasker with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written, oral and reading communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Media/Advertising experience a plus

Benefits

Compensation range: $80-105K base + 20% bonus potential. We offer full health coverage, generous PTO, great office culture!

The base range provided is AdTheorents current assessment for this role. The confirmed salary will be commensurate with experience, education, skills, and other factors. This is subject to change, but will be no less than the minimum stated. We encourage all to apply, as applicants will be assessed on an individual basis. Job title and base salary will depend on qualifications and experience.
