Industry: Environmental Services & Equipment Job Category: Finance / Accounting Accountant Job Description Experienced accountant responsible for performing highly complex accounting calculations, journal entries and principles of accounting to ensure adequate controls and support to internal operations. Preferred Experience / Skills 3-5 years' experience in general ledger accounting. Preparing, inputting and posting journal entries to facilitate the timely and accurate closing of the monthly general ledger. Solid Knowledge of GAAP. Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals. Experience completing account reconciliations. Analyze trends and variances in P&L. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Financial statement preparation including income statement and balance sheet. Advanced Excel skills including analysis formulas such as vlookup and pivot tables. Experience with Enterprise Resource Systems, such as Oracle, Blackline, SAP, Coupa, etc. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work late during close. Ability to travel 2-3 times per year for inventory counts. These 2-3 trips require a willingness to work in maintenance shops, landfills and recycle centers during inventory counts. This sometimes involves remote locations and dusty environments. Education and qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
