Based in Warrenville, Illinois, we deploy our expert team from multiple, strategically located facilities in the U.S. Our mission is to create and provide premier event solutions, delivered by a committed team of professionals.We are looking for a detail-oriented and quality-driven senior accountant to join our accounting team. The senior accountant's responsibilities include contributing to the monthly close process (with emphasis on revenue recognition reporting in a construction-type industry), assisting with financial reporting and audits, analyzing financial statements and reports, and performing research and analysis as required.To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively with non-accounting personnel to collect data and investigate issues as they arise.Responsibilities: Integral member of team responsible for preparing the necessary journal entries, account analysis and supporting documentation for the timely production of monthly financial statements. Role will initially be predominantly focused on converting monthly operational activity into revenue recognition. Strong partnership with operations and sales teams is essential to success. Create and maintain functionality that will enable detailed monthly revenue and margin analysis by project and provide basis for annual budgeting process. Create and maintain standardized post-project cost reviews. Key role in enhancing current systems, improving processes and internal controls, and facilitating efforts toward implementing best practices and scalability. Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial statement accuracy. Heavy involvement with supporting the annual audit process. Assist with researching technical accounting matters and implementing necessary policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP. Document and monitor key processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations. Assist company-wide project teams with financial guidance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA Preferred. 3-5 years of overall experience. 2+ years of experience in public accounting as an auditor. Unquestionable integrity. Can be trusted to do the right thing and constructively challenge if presented with a situation that appears incongruent with this level. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all parts of the organization. A strong desire to deliver high-quality work and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
