Tryfacta is hiring a Sr. Accountant. For over 25 years, Tryfacta has provided workforce services and solutions for Healthcare, Admin, and Information Technologies. Position Name: Sr. Accountant Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 3-4 months with a possible extension (On-site) Description: Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the position: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a four-year degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field, and four years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, at least one year of which was in a lead or supervisory capacity. Experience in a public agency is preferred. SAP experience is preferred. A Master's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting or Certified Public Accountant license may be substituted for one year of the required experience. License as a Certified Public Accountant is desirable. Enterprise Resource Planning System experience is desirable. Experience billing state and federal agencies for associated grants is desirable. Typical Tasks: Perform and supervise the monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts. Update and compile the Monthly Aging Report. Perform and supervise monthly billing of projects. Involve in the Monthly and Year-End Closing Processes related to Capital projects. Perform and supervise billing of grants and other capital/operating revenues. Key contributor in the monthly and year-end processes including, but not limited to, interfund analysis and clearing, revenue accruals, due to/due from accounts, notes to the financial statements relating to federal, state, and local grants. Monitor adherence to key performance indicators such as timeliness of billing and reconciliation of accounts. Performs other duties as assigned.
