Position Summary

The Senior Application Programmer Analyst is responsible for supporting academic and administrative units and the administrative systems they use by providing strategic information management guidance, process design, technical support, and training, as well as performing system administration, configuration, and programming tasks. This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and functional administration for the institutional enterprise content management (ECM) system for document storage, e-forms, and workflows.
  • Help to lead ECM implementation committee and serve as project manager for ECM implementation.
  • Help to lead and facilitate process review for each form and workflow request.
  • Conduct periodic review of all electronic forms and workflows to ensure ongoing compatibility with business processes, best use of current technology, and adequate documentation.
  • Coordinate scanning and indexing of all paper documents slated for electronic storage in the ECM.
  • Create and maintain a structured file system and metadata in the ECM system to facilitate orderly storage, access, and reporting.
  • Manage access control for the ECM system based on appropriate least privilege access.
  • Coordinate and facilitate integration of ECM platform into the primary SIS/ERP system.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training for new ECM users.
  • Assist with support of other enterprise applications as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in analytical discipline, preferably IT, Business Analytics or similar.
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively from a remote location as needed.
  • Communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven and able to learn with or without formal training.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and interest in information systems design and programming/scripting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to occasionally work off-hours to maintain availability of critical systems.
  • High speed internet connectivity at home.
  • Committed to and an articulate supporter of the universitys mission, identity, and Christian faith commitment.
  • Personal commitment to North Parks mission of Christian higher education.

Preferred

  • Experience with ECM platform desired; Experience with SoftDocs ECM platform.
