As a Senior Applications Developer, you will have the opportunity to work remotely and help TechFlow stay "Always Ahead" in the Information Technology industry. In this role, you will be responsible for developing complex applications that transform the way people work. You will work closely with TechFlow's clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions that exceed their expectations. Your work will be a critical component in guiding TechFlow's clients towards mission success.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of Features, Epics, and User Stories
• Develop conceptual and technical design, including the use of OOA and OOD techniques
• Develop secure, full-stack web applications using a variety of languages, including but not limited to Spring, Java, JavaScript, YAML, React, Angular, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Use CI/CD tool suite for integration and deployment: Puppet/Jenkins/Nexus/SonarQube
• Provide support for production operations, maintenance, and feature enhancements
• Contribute to ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the system
• Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
Collaborate with team members, SecDevOps, business analysts, and product owners to understand and clarify feature User Stories and translate them into working software

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with workflow management tools such as VersionOne or JIRA
• 8+ years of experience developing in an agile environment as a scrum team member to include the following:
  • Java and java-based web application development
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • XML related technologies (XML, XSL, JAXP) and JSON
  • RESTful APIs
  • Utilizing various web servers for deployment (JBOSS, TOMCAT, etc.)
  • Hibernate/JPA
  • Spring framework
• Experience using automated build tools (Puppet/Jenkins/Nexus/SonarQube, etc.)
• Experience using source control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, etc.)
• Experience utilizing JUnit and other testing frameworks
• Experience with UI technologies HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React
• Experience working on an enterprise application that utilizes agile methodologies
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using microservices and infrastructure services according to industry best practices
• Team player and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• US Citizen with the eligibility to obtain Public Trust security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training or certifications in Agile Methodologies
  
• Experience with hosting applications in AWS/cloud
• Experience with development in a Linux environment
• Experience deploying applications with containers
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment, where taking the initiative is valued
