Due to continued growth, we are looking to add an experienced Senior Associate to our Client Advisory Services - Government team(link removed) The position is based out of our Gahanna, Medina or New Philadelphia, Ohio office locations with the opportunity to work remotely.


Responsibilities

  • Managing charts of accounts
  • Analyzing cash-basis receipts and disbursements for proper accounting treatment
  • Perform routine accounting activities such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Posting routine journal entries to convert cash-basis accounting to accrual-basis accounting
  • Maintaining and reconciliation detailed investment ledgers
  • Maintaining and reconciling detailed capital asset ledgers
  • Maintaining and reconciling detailed long-term debt ledgers
  • Preparingfinancial statements in accordance with standards
  • Communicating issues identified to appropriate level
  • Maintaining client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA exam eligible
  • Experience with Governmental Accounting Standards a plus
  • Experience in routine bookkeeping functions
  • Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with standards
  • Experience with QuickBooks a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Word and Excel required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required
