Design and conduct biochemical and cellular in vitro assays to validate target genes using primary or established mammalian cell lines. Establish and maintain cell lines relevant to disease model in appropriate growth conditions. Genetically engineer cell lines recapitulating disease model. Establish and execute assay protocols to characterize cell phenotypes using state of the art methods and technologies. Extract protein/RNA/DNA from mammalian cell lines and analyze gene and protein expression using RT-PCR or biochemical techniques. Purify protein/RNA/DNA from cells and tissues. Assess quality and quantity of protein/RNA/DNA preparations. Design, order, and validate assays and reagents. Test rAAV candidates in pre-clinical disease models and study de novo gene expression on disease parameters, develop new methodologies to measure treatment efficacy. Assist senior scientist with drug administration and surgery in rodents (link removed) Perform sample collection and analysis. Design, develop, establish and execute independently assay protocols for disease biomarkers using suitable methods and technologies. Generate and analyze data, contribute to the preparation of publications, intellectual property documents, preclinical regulatory documents in accordance to Sanofi quality standards. Compose summaries of scientific premise, experimental methods, results, etc. for inclusion in internal, legal and regulatory documents. Prepare figures to summarize and display data. Prepare slide decks for communication to stakeholders
