Job TitleSenior BCM and Safety officer
Job Description

In this role, you will be part of the market health and safety team where you can take full use of your expertise and experience in health and safety.
You will be pivotal in improving Philips H&S performance and reducing operational risks by driving the Philips Health and Safety Program in the fields, warehouses and offices in Japan.


You are responsible for

1. Maintain and update local BCM program.
2. Set up and maintain ISO45001 management system.
3. Track local H&S laws and regulations and track correction actions identified.
4. Risk assessment to operations in the commercial organizations and support responsible department on risk reduction measures.
5. Conduct incident investigations
6. Manage emergency response program of the organization.
7. Coordinate the communications between corporate BCM and local team.


Activities

Ensure availability of H&S plans and targets for fields, warehouses, and offices in the zone and monitor performance monthly.
Legal compliance assessment in a quarterly basis. Manage regulatory reports, registrations and permits required for Japan sites.
Conduct accident investigation for all H&S incidents.
Implement ride along/safety gemba program.
Deploy global H&S procedures to local level and support OSHAS45001 Certification in Japan Zone
Coordinate and execute the health and safety audit program in conjunction with internal and/or external consultants.
Manage closure of corrective actions and report compliance status to senior management.
Lead, participate in- or facilitate multidisciplinary work groups on health and safety related topics.
Chair and coordinate regular safety committee meetings.
Share best practices, information, guidance, and H&S requirements in the zone and ensure provide supports when needed.


To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Bachelor-degree or above.
Local government required H&S qualifications.
Fluent in English.
8+ years of experience in H&S management in an international business environment.
Familiar with OSHAS18001 or ISO45001 management system, certified internal or leader auditor
Familiar with Japan laws and regulations.
Good people management and communication skills through organizational layers.
Good team player, goal oriented and pragmatic (gets things done).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well organized.
