• Conduct composite part & tooling design, manufacturing processes and materials selection
• Create drawings from 3D Models and drawings in accordance with ASME standards
• Manage various body armor and composites projects and coordinate all procurements and fabrication to meet the program cost and schedule requirements
• Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes (ISO9001, AS9100D, and NADCAP)
• Support continuous improvement
• Write detailed build, assembly, inspection, and production instructions to assist the production team
• Identify root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for discrepancies and deficiency
• Utilize the lean manufacturing approach to make the manufacturing process more efficient
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/Training (both required and desired):
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or relevant engineering or science discipline required
    
    
• Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in terminal ballistics and/or composites part design
  • Understanding and experience with fracture mechanics desired
  • Understanding and experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) desired
• Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
