Description:

Procurement professional experienced in developing and executing category strategies and preparing, negotiating, managing, and coordinating agreements supporting categories related to MRO, Capital, Packaging, Professional Services, HR Services, Financial Services, Marketing & Communications and Energy. Provides support to develop/drives global sourcing strategy for spend category. Brings suppliers and market intelligence to help generation of hypotheses. Serves as key point of contact with suppliers. Acts as a team spokesperson /interface for internal/client groups as appropriate. Works with global teams to develop/implement strategy.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the MRO, Capital, Packaging, Corporate Services and Energy Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Manages communications with suppliers and serves as key point of contact.
• Creates & evaluates supply market facts and trends and defines implications for sourcing strategies.
• Provides a fact-based understanding of current supplier base and intelligence on contracts terms.
• Help design and execute the RFI and RFQ and leads supplier negotiations.
• Helps design & lead the implementation plan of the buy strategy, globally.
• Works closely with global team to understand business /regional needs and develop sourcing strategy options.
• Calculate and report accomplishments in all appropriate systems.

• Strong problem solving and strategic analysis skills.
• Able to conduct complex analysis such as TCO, EVC, NPV.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Ability to translate implications from analysis into preliminary recommendations.
• Strong influence & communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive/deliver results.
• Strong sourcing expertise and experienced in buy category.
• High ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• BA / BS degree with preferred focus on Sourcing & Logistics, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 5-10 years demonstrated procurement experience required.
• Knowledge of MRO, Capital, Packaging, Corporate Services and Energy categories required.
• Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with strong comprehension of legal and commercial terms and conditions.
• Experience in working with intellectual property concepts and contractual language.
• Previous leadership and/or management experience preferred.
• Project management experience or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or certification must be obtained within the first 12-24 months).
