Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the category management team.
  • Conduct category analysis and identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and innovation within the Sports Hydration & Energy Drinks categories.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that deliver sales and profit growth for the company.
  • Leverage syndicated data platforms (SPINS, Nielsen, and IRI) to analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences.
  • Own the creation and distribution of monthly syndicated scorecard, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Develop and maintain category performance dashboards using Power BI, Excel and Bedrock Analytics to monitor key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and sales teams to provide strategic input on promotional programs, pricing strategies, and product assortments that meet customer needs and drive sales.
    • Conduct post promotional analysis for key accounts.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Continuously monitor and interpret industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Use data-driven insights to influence assortment decisions and shelf placement.
  • Develop, build and lead planogramming capabilities for both energy and hydrations sets, including the creation of a comprehensive product library.
  • Establish and lead planogramming capabilities across Congo Brands categories, including building a comprehensive product library and training the team on premier planogram software.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, influencing shelf placement and assortment decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, or a equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in category management, or a similar role within the Beverage CPG industry.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, and other data/visualization tools.
    • XLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a must, PowerBI/Power Pivot & Query is a plus.
  • Proficient in other M365 tools such as PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint
    • Power Automate experience a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated data platforms (SPINS, Nielsen, and IRI) is required.
  • Proven strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills and a desire to be a lifelong learner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) and/or other major space planning tools, experience with building out product databases is required.
  • Passion for the beverage industry/CPG and a drive to make a meaningful impact on our business.
  • Bonus points for those with experience in 84.51 Stratum.
