What Youll Be Doing:

We are looking for a Senior Chemical Engineer to take a leading role in designing, analyzing, and testing our prototype products. You will work with technical and cross-functional teams to develop novel chemical reactors and separation systems to meet and exceed their prototype goals.

  • Serve as a lead engineer to develop and optimize novel chemical reactors or separation systems.
  • Take the lead to facilitate problem resolution and to meet the key performance objectives.
  • Improve the performance of the product by working on system integration and literature review.
  • Facilitate testing of reactors and other systems in lab/pilot scale set-up with reliable and fast data acquisition.
  • Work on data analytics by using statistical methods and regression techniques including machine learning.
  • Work on process simulation to support technology improvement and system integration.
  • Develop engineering documents such as PFD, P&ID, equipment sizing, etc. to support the buildup of lab/pilot set up for product testing.
  • Lead or participate in process safety studies including PHA, HAZOP and PSSR.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications we seek:

  • BS/MS with 8+ or Ph.D. with 4+ years of experience in a chemical engineering-related field (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in industrial laboratory or chemical facility operation.
  • Working knowledge of chemical reaction system or gas separation systems such as PSA/TSA etc.
  • Working experience with simulation using Aspen programs, heat/mass balance and other process engineering workflows.
  • Knowledge of data analytics using Python, Matlab etc is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Please note that this position will require travel to our New York office during the initial six months of employment. The duration of these trips may be up to three weeks.


The salary pay range for this position is $134,000 to $143,000(link removed) The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in Houston, TX(link removed) Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
