Senior Chemist (Deer Park, NY) Independently perform complex and non-routine testing, including analysis of challenging and novel samples such as multiple (3 or more) component products and special products such as Sennosides. Perform wet chemistry & instrumental analysis by using HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV/VIS, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, AA, Empower 3, Clarus500 software on raw material, finished product, manufacturing process validation, cleaning validation and stability samples. Develop and optimize analytical methods; Make statistical analysis and data interpretation. Technically train and coach junior chemists in analytical techniques – HPLC, GC, Spectrophotometry (FT-IR, UV-VIS etc.) and dissolution. Mechanical qualification/ performance verification(MQ/PV) on Dissolution apparatus (Distek/Agilent tech) for USP Apparatus I & II. Maintain Instruments (HPLC, Dissolution apparatus) and troubleshoot any issues that arise during analysis. Req. BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering + skill of using Chromatography, spectroscopy (Fluorescence, UV-VIS FT-IR, Atomic absorption, GC) and electro chemical analysis, and using the knowledge of calibration such as manual/automated dissolution apparatus and HPLC Waters, HPLC Data Acquisition, thin Layer Chromatography, pH-meter. 40 hr/wk 9a-5p.
