This position will provide civil engineering services for projects throughout Illinois. The ideal candidate will be a team player and possess an Illinois SE license. The successful candidate will work closely with their supervisor, project managers, engineers, and designers.



Primary Responsibilities

·        Perform design calculations, quantity estimates, and cost estimates

·        Compile Specifications

·        Phase I and II plans

·        Mentor and train junior engineers

·        Bridge Inspections

·        Perform CADD drafting

·        Maintain project documentation such as calculations, correspondence with the client, meeting minutes, etc.

·        Assist in the preparation of written reports and presentations of project findings



Required Experience

·        Licensed SE in Illinois required

·        Previous experience with Illinois Department of Transportation projects



Desired Skills and Experience

·        Minimum of 6 yrs - prefer 10 years of Structural design experience

·        Design experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and CDOT

·        Experience with Microstation, GeoPak, AutoCAD, DCALC, STAAD.Pro, LPILE

·        Experience with Microsoft Office Products

·        Effective time-management, strong communication, and teamwork skills

·        Good organizational skills

·        Strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally
